This is a comprehensive course on Canadian Indigenous relations, cultural practices, and the historical impact of colonization. Facilitator Holly Fortier’s courses are recognized by government, industry, agencies, schools, and businesses everywhere as the leading Indigenous awareness training. Participants will receive a certificate of completion recognized by employers and companies everywhere.

Using historical accounts and personal narrative, Holly draws upon the wisdom and experiences of family, Elders, Indigenous academics, artists, and community members to introduce powerful themes. Holly uses a highly structured approach that provides ample opportunity for discussion and reflection upon information that is often completely new for participants.

This approach is complemented by an engaging, thoughtful, sensitive and interactive facilitation style, making Holly’s sessions thought-provoking and enjoyable. Holly hopes that through a better understanding of Aboriginal Peoples and their traditional territories, participants will be encouraged to adopt a respectful understanding of the territory in which they work and the Indigenous communities with which they may engage.
