Alberta Board Member Essentials Training
A training program that blends self-paced online learning with in-person sessions.
ABME equips new and experienced board members across Alberta with the knowledge and practical skills they need to guide their nonprofit organization with confidence, integrity, and impact.

As a client of our Shared Services program, organizations may choose to utilize their purchased hours toward governance and strategy support.
This option gives more hands-on support for your board, as we become an extension of your team.

Alberta Board Member Essentials
Whether you are new to governance, or an experienced board member looking to deepen your practice, ABME offers essential training tailored to today’s evolving nonprofit landscape.
ABME certificate is given upon completion of the following:
On-Demand Online Learning
3 modules (3 hours each) + 1 hour of pre-reading. Available immediately after registration.
Completion of the modules is required prior to attending the in-person sessions.
In-Person Sessions
Two 3.5 hour sessions will be held at the FuseSocial office.
These are interactive, group-based trainings that encourage open discussion and real-life scenario simulations.
