Growing a love of volunteerism in our community’s next generation is important to us. That’s why we started two programs that aim to introduce students to the world of volunteerism and help them understand its impact on communities.

We visit classrooms across the region delivering engaging presentations to middle school and high school students, and show them volunteer opportunities perfect for youth.

Volunteer Skill Bank

There was a gap in Wood Buffalo: no platform existed for adults to share and offer their skills to organizations in need. Skills such as technology support, photography, entertainment, trades, and more.

We started a new platform, WB Volunteer Skill Bank, to fill that need. Community members are invited to create a profile and offer up any ways they may help, and organizations can browse the bank of skills they might need!
