Get ready for a day of fun and community spirit. The Wood Buffalo Food Bank’s third annual Chili Cookoff is teaming up with FuseSocial’s Volunteer Fest for one exciting event you won’t want to miss! Sample delicious chili, connect with local nonprofits, and discover how you can make a difference through volunteering. Plus, enjoy games, prizes, and live entertainment for the whole family!

Social Profit Booth Registration

We invite local social profit organizations to participate in the fun!

Organizations have the opportunity to host a booth within the Doug Barnes Cabin grounds free of charge. Increase awareness, share programming news, upcoming events and volunteer needs to the general public.

We also invite you to play an interactive game at your booth and partake in an immersive and educational scavenger hunt.

Participating organizations will have the option to recognize a volunteer who has gone above and beyond during our award ceremony.

Nominate a local hero for their continued community impact through volunteerism. Now is the time to recognize a deserving volunteer for going above and beyond to make our community a better place to be.

Awards will be presented at Volunteer Fest on August 24 at Doug Barnes Cabin.

The Unsung Hero Volunteer Recognition Award shines a spotlight on individuals whose quiet dedication and behind-the-scenes efforts often go unnoticed, yet play a crucial role in the success of community initiatives, embodying the true spirit of selflessness and humility.
The Group Volunteer Recognition Award acknowledges the collective efforts of teams or partnerships consisting of two or more individuals who collaborate to address community needs, demonstrating the power of teamwork and unity in achieving meaningful change.
The Youth Volunteer Recognition Award honours the commitment and passion of young individuals who dedicate their time and energy to making a positive impact in their communities, inspiring peers and fostering a culture of service from an early age.
The Senior Volunteer Recognition Award recognizes the invaluable contributions of older adults who, with wisdom and experience, continue to actively engage in volunteer work, enriching the lives of others and leaving a lasting legacy of compassion and service.
The Newcomer to Canada Volunteer Recognition Award celebrates individuals who, despite facing new challenges in their adopted country, selflessly contribute their time and efforts to community causes, embodying resilience and cultural integration.
