FuseSocial’s Re-Accreditation Reinforces It’s Legacy of Strengthening Wood Buffalo’s Social Profit Sector

Fort McMurray, AB – March 18, 2024 — Since 2016, FuseSocial has proudly upheld its accreditation status with Imagine Canada, reflecting its dedication to accountability and performance. As part of the latest cohort of re-accredited organizations, FuseSocial reaffirms its commitment to governance excellence within the Wood Buffalo social profit sector.

Imagine Canada is a leading national organization supporting and strengthening Canada’s charitable and nonprofit sector. Through various initiatives, such as the Standards Program, the institution provides resources and guidance to help organizations enhance their governance, transparency, and accountability. By promoting best practices and fostering collaboration, Imagine Canada empowers the social profit sector to thrive and positively impact their communities.

Across Canada, organizations of differing sizes and focuses achieve accreditation rigorously. The standards cover fundamental areas, including board governance, financial accountability and transparency, fundraising, human resources, and volunteer involvement, providing a framework for organizations to strengthen their practices. Access to a range of resources and support throughout the accreditation journey empowers organizations to enhance their operations and build trust with donors, volunteers, and the wider community.

For FuseSocial, the re-accreditation reinforces its values, pursuit of excellence, and role as a community partner dedicated to strengthening the sector in the Wood Buffalo region. As it proudly displays the Accreditation Trustmark, FuseSocial invites fellow nonprofits to join in this commitment to governance best practices, ensuring that goodwill is nurtured and protected within the sector.
